Gangs have permeated every socio-economic group in America, and are no longer an inner city only problem. Each year in America, thousands of youths between the ages of eight and eighteen are initiated into gangs.  Reasons for joining gangs vary from individual to individual - feeling of safety, peer pressure, feeling of respect, opportunity to get quick and illegal money, feeling of belonging, neighborhood loyalty, curiosity, etc.

Acting on the negative influences that gangs bring, many of these youths will find themselves facing numerous out-of-school school suspensions, expulsion, or time behind bars. Without an adequate education, their chances of success are grim.

Recognizing that many of these individuals are talented, intelligent, and filled with potential, Gangs to Graphics seeks to help these individuals develop those gifts in a setting that offers positive life-long implications.  What we do is unique, and our mission is simple.

There are numerous programs being started in an effort to suppress the spread of gang activity across the nation. Joining and belonging to a gang, in and of itself, is not illegal, however, the consequences that follow can be grave.

At Gangs to Graphics, we not only give these youths access to positive community leaders and role models, but we also give them career tools and skills that can last a lifetime.
